Anticipation

Pregnancy is a true beauty for which you are bringing a precious life to this world. What better way to capture this special moment, so you can remember what each day has brought.

To capture your portrait, it is best to bring along with you the rest of the family, or you and your partner if this is your first child. We have an array of coloured fabric material we can incorporate into your session. It is best to bring a few styles of tops from tanks, sweaters, button ups as well as just your bra. You and your family should all be coordinated. Our photographers are all female so depending on your comfort level you can decide if you want to bear all. Fantasy

The best clothing to bring your children in is simple solid colours. We find that your son can wear jeans and white button up shirt works the best. For your daughter, a beautiful flowing dress.

We do supply clothing for this type of session. Usually ages are from newborn to teen. When you book your appointment you can take a look at our dresses and jeans to make sure we have the right size. It's always best to bring your child in their own clothing so that we can do a session with a wardrobe change.

Grads

This is a special time in not only your grads life, but the rest of your families as well. We encourage the whole family to join in on the special day. Bring along your mom/dad, grandma/grandpa, brother/sister and even your family pet. Everyone is welcome, because they are a part of you.
For your grads portrait we recommend you bring the essentials: casual attire, formal gown/tux, cap and gown (we do not provide this). If you are an artist, musician, sports buff or dancer, please bring along anything that you might like to use as inspiration. This session is all about you - The Graduate. This important milestone only happens once and we want to capture this chapter in your life.

Milestones & Growing

There is no need to worry about coordinating socks or footwear because we are a barefoot studio. We like to accentuate all these little features.

For younger children, it is great to bring special stuffies, trucks and blankets that the children carry with them everywhere they go. We are about capturing your child in their true being. You don't want to miss capturing these special moments, as we all know they go by too fast.

For older children, it is all about those stages of growing. If your child loves hockey, bring in his gear. If she's a ballerina, grab that tutu. It's all about their passions, or you can keep it minimal and just capturing them, their true beauty.

You always want the session to tell a story about your child and who they are at that moment.

New Beginnings

Just like they were intended, newborns are truly captured best in their true form. It is always a great idea to bring along a few changes of clothing for you and your baby because accidents happen. Keep in mind with newborns, we like to incorporate the parents and siblings as much as possible. Whether it's your hands, chest, or face, parents are always needed in the portrait in some form. A great idea for parents is to come in wearing a solid neutral color. Black is a preferred colour, but it is always best to bring along white as well. If you would like more bare skin, a tank top or a tube top is recommended for mom. The little extras we suggest are blankets, hats, toques, booties, and anything that is special to your family. And of course let's not forget feedings. It is best to bring your newborn with a full belly and remember we do schedule extra time if your little one needs a top up.

Pets

It is always a great idea to bring treats and toys for us to grab their attention. Also leashes are preferred as well. Please also let us know the temperament of your furry friend when you book your appointment. Treats are a must!!

Commercial & Professional

This is designed for business professionals that would like have a professional head shot for their business card, or advertising. Its important to dress on how you want your portrait to portray to your clients, whether you want that casual or formal look.

We also do business functions, such as Christmas parties & group photos for websites.

Family / Togetherness

We are all about togetherness, bring in grandma, grandpa, and scruffy the family pet. It's about bringing the family together for those cherished memories.

We recommend keeping the color choices simple and similar. Neutrals are always a must. Try to stay away from pattern (such as logo’s, cartoon characters, busy pattern) because patterns can take away from a portrait. Like most of our sessions, don't worry about finding those perfect shoes. We are a barefoot studio. It is always about minimal distraction. You don't want anything to distract away from your family.
